Finding my purpose meant knowing my passions.
Understanding what was important to me, discovering why it’s important, and then creating action.
It’s not always as easy as it sounds. Especially when you’re used to taking care of everyone else. Many of us reach a point in life when we realize that we have very few hobbies, if any. We are shocked to realize that we don’t even know what we like to do.
Finding my passions turned into a journey of self-exploration and discovery. I started getting to know myself, what I liked, things that I had always wanted to do and connecting with my values. It felt a bit scary and liberating all at the same time.
All I can say is that whatever age you decide to find your passions (mine was 40’s) it will change the way you look at yourself, and your life, in a wonderful and profound way.
Most of us do what’s expected, right? Whether we like it or not, it’s what we do. I call it existing, and trust me; it’s not really living. It’s more like surviving...
Many people live their entire lives not knowing what their passions are, who they really are… And I do believe that we are not meant to have only one passion, but many passions that feed our soul and give us energy.
Based on multiple studies, the biggest regret of those facing imminent death was;
“I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected me to live. “
Do we keep doing what we’re doing because we don’t know what else to do or are we afraid to do something that our friends and family wouldn’t expect or agree with? Are we afraid of failing or looking stupid so we don’t try new things?
I had to answer a similar question recently, that got me thinking. I was put on the spot and asked why I wanted to create and sell crystal jewelry.
My answer was my purpose. It’s my passion and my why.
I enjoy creating and selling crystal jewelry because I want to share these gorgeous, natural energetic stones with others. These stones remind me to be present, mindful and to enjoy the journey of life. I can feel the energy just thinking about it!
I’m not doing it to get rich, or to create a huge following. Heck, I don’t even love social media, but I know it’s important to help carry my message.
For me, creating a mindful life that is true to who I am has taken me almost 50 years, and I’m not done yet. Some people never allow themselves the gift of self discovery.
When we have the awareness to truly understand that we are in control of how we think, feel and respond – life changes…you change….your perceptions change.
Choosing to live a life that includes yoga, meditation and beautiful natural crystals, are all part of my journey, and I want to share it with you!
If a day comes when these things no longer give me energy, I will thank them and move on.
Part of my mission is to support and encourage others to discover what gives them energy...to find their passions. To help them live in a way that is true to their own values and to enable them to have the courage to create their own path.
Why crystals?
These beautiful, energetic and earthly gemstones are a symbol to me, to be present for each and every moment and to embrace the energy that they offer.
The crystals are a reminder.
A reminder to stop wasting energy worrying about the future, it’s not here yet. Stop obsessing over the past, it’s gone. But to live in the present, which is all that we have. Enjoy THIS moment.
We aren't promised a tomorrow, not ever, that is a fact.
I do know that I have choices in how I want to live. When I’m living my purpose (passion) and my time is up on this earth, I will have lived fully and completely, with no regrets.
My Purpose is clear – it’s my passion… my energy…my mindful living.
To live with a calmer spirit, I continue to create a mindful and present journey. It’s not perfect and I make my fair share of mistakes, and that’s okay with me.
What’s your passion?
